Last Friday a number of the junior monks, novices, a senior monk and I biked “out back” on the back entrance of Saint John’s to a phenomenal bakery nestled in the woods…just a couple of miles from the monastery. “Artisan Bakery” is a wonderful place which makes all of its breads, scones, cookies, etc. totally from scratch and bakes with the utmost care in attention to recipes, ingredients and baking conditions. This bakery is aptly called “Artisan Bakery”!
Of course, if you think we left without sampling the final product from this great bakery in the woods you are absolutely mistaken!
Peace, bpv
