Lake Wobegon Ride for Catholic Charities!

Yesterday six other brave souls and I rode a 32 mile stretch of the Lake Wobegon Trail with about 100 other participants. The ride/fundraiser was sponsored by Saint Cloud Catholic Charities with part of the proceeds going to the Saint Cloud Children’s Home. Our group collected over $1000 in pledges half of which will go to Saint John’s School of Theology Youth in Theology Ministry program (YTM). It was a beautiful day and a wonderful opportunity to meet new people who are supportive of Catholic Charities as well! This is the six annual ride and the report is that in that time the sponsors have raised over $400 thousand dollars for the Children’s Home. What an incredibly worthy cause!

The first picture below shows one of the stopping off points where the organizers had fresh fruit, water, power bars and fruit juices. (I was very appreciative of that!)

Above is the youngest of our group, Will, a senior at Saint John’s University and a YTM counselor, who is showing his never waining enthusiasm!

We made it! Taken in one of the fairground buildings in Sauk Centre, MN.

Peace, bpv
