I had the pleasure of hosting a very enjoyable meeting of the Diocesan Vocation Directors today. One of the best parts of any gathering such as this is the mutual support that we lend to one another. Vocation work is wonderful and certainly rewarding for all sorts of reasons but it is also very hard work and sometimes discouraging. To share best practices and new insights with one another is a true blessing!
After “checking – in” with each other we spoke about a number of topics including technology and volunteer programs we also broke bread together and enjoying the view overlooking Lake Sagatagan from the lake view room of the abbey guesthouse. We had representatives from the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the Crosiers, the Benedictine Sisters, Diocesan Diaconate, the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls and the Lay Ecclesial Ministry of the diocese.
