On Monday last the Diocese of Saint Cloud spent a whole day celebrating all things Catholic at the Saint Cloud Civic Center. The theme this year was “One in the Spirit: Heart Of Mercy” with the keynote speaker Rev. Timothy Radcliffe, OP delivering a presentation entitled: The Community of God’s Annointed. He spoke about what it means for Catholics to live as a community of the baptized who are anointed as priests, prophets and kings. He also explained about how we can recover the sense of dignity of the baptized by looking at what it means to each of us who are members of the Catholic faith. He also spoke about his take on how the biggest challenge for the Church is to have a dynamic laity which can strengthen the Chruch as it flourishes. There were a number of break out sessions and of course a wonderful liturgy where Bishop Kinney presided. Of course the monks and the sisters from Saint Benedict’s monastery in Saint Joseph were there as well:
