This morning I took some pictures of two of the projects that are going on this summer. The rose window of the Great Hall is being worked on – the wood framing around the stained glass is original so well over a hundred years old and was in need of restoration and sealing.

The present color of paint is only primer!

Our weather today is beautiful, slight breeze, sunny and in the 70′s. Perfect for the painters.

The other project I pictured earlier when two of our junor monks decided that they would demolish the old fountain in the Mary Grotto. In fact there were two more “layers of fountain” under the original! The old fountain would crack often enough that we thought that total replacement was the best option. Thanks Br. Nick and Lew!!!

The new fountain needs to cure for about two more weeks. Stay tuned for the submersion!

Peace, bpv
