Every year local artisans offer their wares to the local populace for purchase. Much of the merchandise is seasonal but there is also much that is appropriate for year round use. Above is Br. David Paul Lange O.S.B. with his mother and father at their booth offering the many wonderful handcrafted wood items.
Above are Brothers Aelred and Nickolas minding Br. Aelred’s “shop” of photo cards, knit items and homemade breads and jams. Many of the photos featured on the cards are of pictures that Br. Aelred took while in Jerusalem this past spring with the other junior monks.
Fr. Magnus Wenninger O.S.B. told me that at this point he has constructed appoximately 7,000 polyhedrons – (give or take a few hundred!) He is always a hit with everyone who stops by his table. He also takes time to show children how to make the polyhedrons themselves.
