In spite of cooler temperatures the University’s annual homecoming celebration was a huge success in many ways. As Fr. Bob Koopmann O.S.B. enjoyed his first Homecoming celebration welcoming all alumni back to Saint John’s and also cheering on the Johnnie football team to win in the last 5 seconds over Bethel University with over 10,000 fans looking on. Below is a picture of the student section hitting the field after a field goal clinched the victory for Saint John’s. A truly amazing moment which will be remembered for many years to come at table in the monastic refectory! 
After the game a number of the monks and the novices enjoyed the “after glow” with the students and alums on the campus green.
